"Not Just A Cleaning......."

One of the strongest aspects of our practice at the Island Center for Dental Excellence is the professionalism and thoroughness of our hygienists, Cathy and Lindsay.
They 'just don't clean teeth' but are fully trained and capable of providing the most up to date nonsurgical treatment available. They hope to inspire you to obtain excellent oral health, establishing a life time partnership in maintaining a beautiful, healthy smile to last a life time.
A good preventative program is a supportive effort between patient, dentist and hygienist. Prevention starts at home with a good oral hygiene program. In cooperation with our dental team we hope to promote, restore and maintain the best oral health program for you!

At your recall hygiene appointments, our team will not only 'clean your teeth' but examine and assess your current dental condition. In determining your current dental condition we will review:

• Your current medical and dental history
• Conduct a Advanced Oral Cancer Screening using the VELscope™
• Read and review current x-rays
• Examine gums and bone structure for periodontal disease
• Examine teeth for cavities
• Complete a thorough cleaning appropriate for your dental condition
• Understand your concerns and values
• All of this is included in the normal fee for your regular checkup and exam.
