If going to the dentist is one of your greatest fears and you have been avoiding a visit for a long time, you are not alone. There are millions of people just like you. Dr. Schulze can help! We understand your fears and concerns, and are here to help you overcome them. At the Island Center for Dental Excellence we take the time to understand our patients specific concerns, helping them on a one on one basis to confront them. That's why the revolutionary innovation of sedation dentistry makes all the sense in the world.
Nitrous oxide or "laughing gas", is a very safe and effective means for reducing mild anxiety. Many of Dr. Schulze's patients who request nitrous also enjoy listening to music through headphones while the treatment is completed, feeling quite relaxed throughout the procedure.
For those patients who absolutely fear the thought of having any dentistry done, another safe and effective technique which Dr. Schulze is well-trained in is the use of oral conscious sedation. This consists of a small pill which will make you very drowsy and many times will allow you to sleep throughout the procedure. You are still in control and can understand commands but you probably won't remember much of what goes on. Dr. Schulze is committed to providing the safest and most effective use of oral conscious sedation, and has trained with the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation.
I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate your care and concern during my dental visit. You both made an experience that I was dreading not only pain free, but in some ways, pleasant. Thank you again for your kindness and empathy!

My wife and I are writing this letter to you to express our profound thanks for your excellent care and attention over this past year. As you know, it had been years since either of us had been to a dentist and we were in need of some serious care. Much of the reason we had not been to a dentist was due to negative past experiences and much fear of even the simplest dental procedure. Since coming under your care, we have been met with an abundance of friendliness, little or no discomfort, and a caring attitude toward our health. Your entire staff has been wonderful which has made our experience even more positive and enjoyable.
It is difficult to describe all of the positive effects of our improved dental health. Primarily, we both worry much less now and we feel as though we finally have the "upper hand" in terms of our oral care. Additionally, your amazing cosmetic work has enabled us to all who experience a much stronger sense of confidence when we smile.
Certainly you must understand the positive impact you have had on your patience lives, we realized that we all need to be reminded of these things from time to time. So please accept our deepest thanks and gratitude for the care you and your staff have provided us.
Kindest regards,
-Cori and Richard Fritz Marco Island
It has been my pleasure to become acquainted with Dr. Schulze and his staff. My first experience was an emergency and a good friend called and made an appointment for me. From my first visit on I have had the very best service possible, -- nobody likes to go to the dentist, but Dr. Schulze's office is different. Since I started seeing Dr. Schulze, everything has changed. I smile with ease now, sometimes just to show off my teeth!
My thanks to you - you're the best!
